If you are a great fan of boxing since you were a kid, you have to admit that if you have seen the last fight of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez last March 15, 2008, you will be hooked in watching the boxing once again. I know that for many people of both countries, they considered these two boxers as heroes. They are heroes because they represent not only themselves but the concept that men are created equal. What that means, whoever who you are in life, if you have a big heart in what you believe in like these two great boxers, you can accomplish it by not giving up. As for Manny, he believes in God and serve his country by being the best in what he does, and that is for being the best boxer he can be. For many poor people in the Philippines, they look at Manny as a good example, and it gave them hope that somebody like them could accomplish something good like Manny if they set their eyes to God and work as Manny (Pacman).
I have seen the fight of these two boxers and I tell you, in the ring, I respected both of them by giving their best. Manny is a little bit younger, heavy hitter, and faster while Juan Manuel Marquez is more like a scientific boxer, analytical and quick to adjust his fight with the help of his trainer, and with a powerful jabbing capability he could severely damage his opponent, which is seldom seen nowadays in most boxers. Both boxers seem opposite in their style but both are deadly serious with their techniques and implementing their boxing strength. I would say that they were perfectly matched in both last 2 fights.
Many times when you've seen a boxer being knockdown in any given round, you would think that he would most likely loose the fight. However, that was not so with Juan Manuel on the first fight and on the second fight, it seems that he came back so fast that until on the last round, it made it difficult for the judges as who would win the boxing match. This guy has a big heart in the ring; he never gives up. We could learn something from this guy and apply in our daily life as to never gives up and stay focus. Although, he lost in the second fight, he did not loose his self respect, because as far as himself and many people, he has given his all and he is a winner.
The last fight was exhilarating. Although Manny won the fight, the fight was too close that I am expecting a rematch. As for Manny, all I can say that his fight have improved as a hungry tiger. It seems that the more you hit this guy, the more you will get the harder punches twice as much...hmmnn.... I would not want to be in Juan Manuel's shoes. I would say that the people who have seen the fight have gotten what they have paid for, it was all worth it. The business of who is the best fighter was temporarily settled... but not totally settled. I agreed with the result of the fight. However, I have to conclude, that a rematch is necessary and I believe that a lot of people who have seen the fight will agree with me.
I will be waiting for the next fight, this time, I hope to see you guys there...
